Both pieces have a corrosion-resistant manganese phosphate coating. The socket comes pre-lubricated with SuperLube Multi-Purpose Synthetic Grease (NLGI 2) with Syncolon (PTFE). Maintain the lubrication using this grease or a comparable grease as needed to reduce wear over time. The 6-point socket opening provides an exact fit and maximum contact for hex fasteners.
